Further details of the 100-Mile Walk for Our Children and Our Dignity, including objectives, route, walkers and actions will be unveiled at a Press Conference on August 19th at 11:00 a.m.
El Paso, TX /Southern New Mexico.- Border residents and members of the Border Network for Human Rights (BNHR) will walk one hundred miles (100 miles) from Southern New Mexico to West Texas, and through a number of events and actions, reject border militarization, the deployment of the National Guard in our communities, the offensive of Texas Governor Rick Perry against children, and call for border enforcement accountability.
Additionally, border walkers will urge the Obama Administration to keep families united through an ample Deferred Action program for the 11 million undocumented Americans already living in the United States.
