Founded in 1998

The Border Network for Human Rights, founded in 1998, is one of the leading human rights advocacy and immigration reform organizations located at the U.S./Mexico Border. BNHR has over 7,000 members in West Texas and Southern New Mexico.

Grassroots Organizing

We organize the community through education about human rights; we build coalitions with other border groups; and we work with the federal government to address problems. We have been working in parallel spheres from the grassroots level to the Capitol level.

Support our Work

We are a human rights organization who aspires to advance the dignity and rights of all persons. We work to change policy and practice and as such, center affected persons by providing them the skills, organization, and opportunity to lead such efforts. Help us continue our mission!

Binational Abuse Documentation Campaign

The Border Network for Human Rights (BNHR) released the first of several findings from the 2022-2023 Binational Abuse Documentation Campaign (“Campaña Documentación de Abusos”), focusing on identified patterns of Human and Civil Rights violations carried out by Mexican law and immigration enforcement agencies.

This year, for the first time in the documentation campaign trajectory, the campaign was extended to collect cases from deported migrants and migrants in transit in Mexico.

Donate Today!

The Frontera Texas Organizing Project, an innitiative of the Border Network for Human Rights is urgently asking for the generosity of the community to urgently support and alleviate the humanitarian crisis being experienced at our border.

As children, families, and hundreds of migrants are processed and released to their future destination, many do not have the necessary resources. This solidarity initiative is an urgent call to our community to provide immediate relief and support.

No donation is too big or too small to make a big difference!

We are Part of the Solution!
