Day of the Dead 2009

Every year on the Day of the Dead, the Border Network honors the migrants who perished while crossing the border in pursuit of the American Dream, or just jobs to feed their families. These deaths, around 400 each year along the U.S.-Mexico border, have increased since the U.S. government adopted an enforcement-only policy that forces migrants to seek more remote and risky crossing paths. These deaths are senseless and tragic.
