Border Network for Human Rights Strongly Condemns the Attack on Border Patrol Agents
Border Network for Human Rights strongly condemn the irrational aggression against two border patrol agents that resulted in the death of one of them. Border Patrol agent, Rogelio Martinez was part of the El Paso community and passed away on the morning of November 19th as a result of his injuries.
The cruel attack on Rogelio Martinez and his colleague do not reflect the behavior and attitude of the vast majority of border residents and immigrant families, who have in fact, worked hard to create a safe environment by engaging with law-enforcement agencies to report crimes and abuses.
We grief the death of Border Patrol agent Rogelio Martinez and on behalf of hundreds of immigrant families of El Paso sector, we extend our condolences to his family and to his peers at the Border Patrol Sector of El Paso.
